She walks silently
No one knows where she goes
Floating, gliding through the moonlight
She is not dead, but rather forgotten
Slipped through the fingers of faith
Pushed towards solitude and eternal silence
The outline of her sulken body
Once full of life and gracefulness
Now a meer recollection of what once was
Her body slowly fading and her mind
Still moving but not far behind
Scarred toes once flowing, gleaming
Just calloused, dented, useless
The life everyone dreams of on the outside
Only a story we never hope to live
Quickly alone and hard to breathe
Scraping for the next meal
If money is even there
Drugs, evil masters demolished all your soul
Grace and purity are things of the past
Electricity runs through veins outside her body
But not in
Asking for a way out
She reaches for the bottle, sparkling
She sneaks the jewel down her throat
for one. last. breath.
...flying.

Wow, Mellissa! I never knew you were a poet!! This SO good...but so sad. You really are talented! I tried voting for you but it keeps saying "No rankings"...that's weird. But wow, seriously, this is so good!
